Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Obalint Limited ("Obalint", "we", "us"), the operator of Obalint.ai. By creating an account or using Obalint.ai, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The short version

Obalint.ai organises reporting on conflict and security events and answers your questions about it with AI. It is information, not advice, and it can be wrong, so check the cited sources. Use it fairly, keep your account secure, and do not scrape or resell it.

01 / THE SERVICE

Obalint.ai brings together conflict and security reporting from third-party news sources, shows it by country and event, and lets you ask questions that are answered by an AI model using that reporting, with the sources listed. Our data is updated through the day. We do not promise that it is complete, instant or free from errors.

Some features are still being built. We may add, change or remove features and may limit how much of the service you can use.

02 / INFORMATION, NOT ADVICE

What you see on Obalint.ai is information. It is not legal, security, safety, financial or professional advice. AI-generated answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and any scores or forecasts we show are signals to investigate, not verdicts. Check the cited sources before you rely on or publish anything, and take your own decisions about your own safety and the safety of others. Our advisory services at Obalint.com are separate and are provided under their own terms.

03 / YOUR ACCOUNT

You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Each account is for one person. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it. You must be at least 18 years old to use Obalint.ai.

04 / ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or target any person
  • try to break, probe or bypass our security, or access data that is not yours
  • scrape, copy or extract data from the service in bulk by automated means, or build a competing product from it, without our written permission
  • resell, sublicense or share your access with others
  • overload the service, or get around rate limits or usage limits
  • misuse the AI feature, for example to produce harmful content or to try to make it ignore its rules

We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.

05 / CONTENT AND OWNERSHIP

Obalint.ai, including its design, software and the way information is organised, belongs to us or our licensors. News headlines, excerpts and articles belong to their publishers. We show short extracts with links to the original source.

Your questions and your account details remain yours. You give us permission to process them to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything.

06 / PAID PLANS

Obalint.ai may introduce paid plans. If so, we will show the price and what is included before you pay, and these terms will be updated or supplemented.

07 / AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

We aim to keep Obalint.ai available but do not promise that it will always work or be free from interruptions. We may suspend or change the service for maintenance, security or other reasons.

08 / DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITS ON OUR RESPONSIBILITY

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not give any warranties about accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from your reliance on information or AI-generated answers on the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or if you paid nothing, to a nominal sum.

09 / ENDING YOUR USE

You can stop using Obalint.ai at any time. To have your account and data deleted, email obalint.ai@gmail.com and we will act on it as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that we reasonably believe put the service or other users at risk.

10 / PRIVACY

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. Please read it.

11 / CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the service or by email. If you keep using Obalint.ai after a change, you accept the updated terms.

12 / GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. The courts of that country have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be limited.
